Quaid police arrest carries a

Apparently, some individuals never learn. It’s not known if it was deliberate or not, Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid, his wife, were arrested for not paying a hotel expenses and charged with attempting to defraud an inn. Posting bail was not a huge problem, and both went home after that. This made lots of headlines, as a person who has worked in Hollywood so long could have easily afforded a lodging bill. The alleged hotel stiffing occurred in California. The Quaids, though, were arrested in Texas. The pair was arrested again recently, for living illegally in a property they formerly owned in Santa Barbara.

Skipped on hotel bill

Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid were in lawful trouble last year. The first event occurred on Sept. 30, 2009. The Quaids were taken into custody having been suspected to be defrauding an inn. They stayed a night at a posh lodge in California, and forgot or refused to pay for the night. A warrant was issued for their arrests, and they were picked up in Texas. The pair missed some court dates after being freed on bail. Eventually, they did make it back to court. Evi Quaid had to settle for probation and community service. They also paid off the hotel, according to CNN. At that point, all seemed back to normal.

Squatting a horrible idea

Selling a house is something people generally keep in mind doing. That would appear to be reasonable. That did not apply to Randy and Evi Quaid. The two were found to be living illegally within the guest house of a home they sold in Santa Barbara years ago. The current owners produced the documents from the sale. The Quaids claimed they still owned the property. As outlined by ABC, the cops were having none of it and imprisoned them for burglary. If they really believed they owned the property, it appears weird that they didn’t go to the main house, and instead went to the guest house.

Reasoning appears slim

There hasn’t been a remark on either arrest from Dennis Quaid, Randy Quaid’s younger brother. Hollywood seems to produce a specific breed of crazy. Perhaps the idea of not breaking the law does not occur to the Quaids, or others like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton.
