Small shock in Michael Grimm America’s Got Talent triumph

The 5th year of “America’s Got Talent” has just came to the conclusion. . There were three singers, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, and Prince Poppycock. There was also an incredible dance group, Fighting Gravity. Lionel Ritchie, Jewel, and Donna Summer had amazing guest appearances. Many people favored Evancho to triumph, as the 10 year old with titanic pipes was often compared with Susan Boyle. The victor, however, proved to be the underdog Michael Grimm.

Ending worth viewing

The finale for “America’s Got Talent” season five was a good thing to see. It almost always is. The final competitive stage, though, took place two days before it. That is when the contestants put on the last performance for points for the season. Michael Grimm is type of the singer/songwriter type, with a really bluesy tinge. Prince Poppycock sings pop songs in an operatic fashion, fusing Lady Gaga, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and Kiss with the makeup and elaborate classical era costumes. Then there was Jackie Evancho. Evancho has been a sensation all season, as the tiny ten year old has a titanic voice. There was only one act that was not a performer. Fighting Gravity is a dance troupe made up of college students.

Voting uses a Grimm tone

The show gets voted on just like “American Idol,” and just like that show, viewers have to wait for the results. Prince Poppycock got buzzed on, as outlined by CBS, by Piers Morgan. To be fair, it was a little one-dimensional. Evancho is extraordinary because of her talent, but even a 10-year old singing opera ballads gets a bit old after awhile. Variety is the spice of life, and Michael Grimm reaped the benefits of that in his winning “America’s Got Talent.” It was kind of a singer’s year. Grimm, according to People, plans to purchase his grandparents a house.

Attendees steal the show

Just about every person paired with a entertainer for the last show performance. Poppycock performed with Donna Summer, Lionel Ritchie sang “Dancing on the Ceiling” for Fighting Gravity and Grimm performed a duet with Jewel, singing “Me and Bobby McGee.” The ending episode was almost the best part of the entire season.
